A copy of every paid contract must be submitted to the PFL before the player, manager, or staff member is registered for the season.

The PFL must be included as an overseeing party or provided with a signed copy of the agreement. The PFL will keep contracts confidential and will only use them when necessary to confirm registration, investigate disputes, or enforce league rules.

Responsibility of the Receiving Team

Teams must check a player’s or manager’s registration and contractual status before approaching or signing them.

A team that knowingly encourages an individual to breach an existing agreement may face disciplinary action, including registration restrictions, point deductions, fines, or suspension.

The PFL will provide a standard contract template that teams may use. This will ensure that important terms are included and that all parties clearly understand their responsibilities.

Teams may use their own contracts, but they must meet the minimum PFL requirements and be submitted for registration.

Implementation

These requirements will apply from the beginning of the next PFL registration period.

All teams must complete a paid-contract declaration before their registrations are approved. Any existing agreement that continues into the new season must also be submitted to the PFL.

By introducing these rules, the PFL aims to create a safer, fairer, and more professional environment in which teams honour their commitments and players, managers, and officials respect their contractual responsibilities.

For any specific situation which is not listed in the Rules, the relevant Admin Team is entitled to take a decision based outside of the rules.

✅ By following these rules, you help maintain a fair, competitive, and enjoyable environment in the PFL Europe league.
